SDCC: TLS Brings Retro Icons to Life with Exclusive Drops

The Loyal Subjects (TLS) is staging a full-blown ‘80s takeover at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), and it’s berry, berry good. 

From July 24-27, TLS will transform Booth No. 2544 into a nostalgia-fueled playground, spotlighting beloved brands like Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Popples, M.A.S.K., My Pet Monster, Teletubbies, and Jem and the Holograms. Expect bold redesigns, exclusive drops, interactive displays, and fan-first reveals that blend classic aesthetics with modern collectibility.

Anchoring the event is TLS’s official SDCC panel, “Retro 80s Toys & Talent,” where fans will get behind-the-scenes scoop on upcoming launches and hear from original ‘80s voice actors, including Samantha Newark (Jem), Britta Phillips (Jem), and Bettina Bush (Rainbow Brite). Attendees can also look forward to live sing-alongs, surprise announcements, and special-edition giveaways.

The exclusive product lineup is stacked with reimagined favorites. 

From Strawberry Shortcake, limited 5.5-inch fashion dolls of Raspberry Tart, Lemon Meringue, and Party Pleaser Strawberry, each with scented hair and mystery accessories. A 14-inch Orange Blossom rag doll and a CheeBee Metallic 7-pack round out the berry sweet offerings.

Rainbow Brite stuns with the first-ever Patty O’Green 5.5-inch fashion doll, two 12-inch plush dolls (Indigo and a Dress-Up Edition Rainbow Brite), plus limited 10-inch plush releases of Kitty Brite and Puppy Brite. The Metallic CheeBee 8-Pack features fan-faves Canary Yellow and Buddy Blue.

Jem and the Holograms returns to center stage with a collector-grade Jerrica and Synergy two-pack, complete with mic stands that play the original theme song. 

My Pet Monster gets a deluxe 14-inch plush reissue with soft faux fur, breakaway chains, and vintage brick-wall packaging. Popples are also making a comeback this year. Fans can grab an exclusive blue 11-inch plush. This super-soft plush features flip-to-ball action and exclusive embroidery. Pretty cool!

For flair you can wear, TLS debuts the 80s Flashback Enamel Pin Set featuring artwork from Jem, MASK, Popples, and My Pet Monster.

Even Teletubbies get a makeover with a CheeBee Flocked 5-Pack, including Noo-Noo in soft textured detail.
